7th April, 1921.

231 reply to your letter 16950/1921 dated 14th instant, I am directed by the First Commissioner of His Majesty's Worke, etc., to state that the question of reproducing the Cenotaph is one for Sir E. Lutyens and this Department is not directly concerned. It is understood that he has already received other requests for permission to reproduce it, and it is suggested that the proper course would be for the Colonial Office

to approach him directly as to the proposal to erect a copy in

Hong Kong and also as to the request for copies of the plans to be supplied. His address is No. 13, Mansfield Street, W.1.

I am, Sir,

Your obedient Servant

rler Secretary

of State, lonial Office,
